Hey my name is Jess. This is my journey. I'm a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. I'm $45,000 in debt after a year at NYU and two years at UNC.   • FAFSA - The Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Project on Student Debt - a non-profit Berkeley-based organization dedicated to increasing public knowledge and awareness of student loans. Full of up-to-date statistics and great resources for those looking to learn more about student debt.
  • Student Debt Alert - A research project to convince decision-makers and the media to pay attention and take action. Readers can post their own stories about student debt.
  • FinAid - “The smart guide to financial aid.” A good resource for learning the basics of student loans including interest rates, statistics and types of loans.
  • Equal Justice Works - Free webinars to learn about student debt relief and the College Cost Reduction and Access Act. Learn about income-based repayment, loan forgiveness and how to qualify.
  • Campus Progress - Resource for issues concerning college students. “Students over banks” is the specific issue dealing with student loan subsidies and student debt. Includes news articles, videos and stories from students.
